Abstract:
This article relates to the subject of tax compliance and the\r\n\r\n management of scarce public funds collected through the tax system.\r\n\r\n Great attention should be paid to the way in which governments can\r\n\r\n identify ways of ensuring public goods and well-being of citizens by\r\n\r\n increasing the levels of tax compliance, and the way in which they plan\r\n\r\n strategies of fostering and developing the private system.\r\n\r\n Just as actual is the field of SMEs, these representing an important\r\n\r\n source of entrepreneurial skills, innovation and employment.\r\n\r\n Support for SMEs is one of the priorities of the European Commission\r\n\r\n for the purpose of economic growth, because they represent the largest\r\n\r\n portion of the total enterprises and they employ the largest share of the\r\n\r\n active population.\r\n\r\n At the level of the Romania, SMEs are regarded as the key factor for\r\n\r\n economic growth, innovation, employment and social integration.\r\n\r\n Flexibility and adaptability of SME sector are essential traits for\r\n\r\n passing the periods of economic crisis.\r\n\r\n Romania’s public policy recognizes the importance of SMEs, using\r\n\r\n various instruments, both direct support, through national and European\r\n\r\n funds, as well as indirectly by shaping a favourable regulatory framework.\r\n\r\n The present study aims to observe the development of SMEs and the\r\n\r\n influence that fiscal policy has over them, as well as finding ways to\r\n\r\n improve.
